Description

Isoamyl acetate is a clear, colorless liquid known for its distinctive banana-like odor. It is the acetate ester of isoamyl alcohol and is widely used for its fragrance and solvent properties. Naturally occurring in fruits, isoamyl acetate is commonly referred to as “banana oil.”

It evaporates quickly and provides excellent solvency for resins, oils, waxes, and nitrocellulose. Due to its fruity scent, manufacturers use it in food flavorings, perfumes, and personal care products. It also plays a critical role in industrial applications such as coatings and cleaning solutions.

Its pleasant odor and low toxicity make it suitable for both consumer and industrial products.
